I enjoy working with people and helping others, having purpose in my life and making a difference to someone else’s life. I am curious about human interactions and relationships, what makes us tick, how we behave and relate to others.
Working as a counsellor gives me the opportunity to help individuals through difficult times.
I am passionate about supporting neurodiverse individuals and promoting a better understanding of autism and ADHD. Through my work with autistic pupils and personal experiences of having autistic and ADHD family members, I got interested in this area and have done specific trainings and workshops. I recently started to run "Autism and ADHD awareness training for counsellors" workshops. I have counselled many autistic and ADHD clients in the past, and I can adapt my practice to their needs.
Being anxious can affect who you are and your whole life; often feeling stuck in a cycle of anxiety, overthinking and catastrophising. I can help you to understand the roots of your anxiety better, to be able to develop coping mechansims and to better manage your life. I have worked with social and health anxiety issues.
I offer compassionate and professional supervision where you will be supported in your practice and client work; whilst being positively challenged and encouraged to develop and grow as a professional and ethical counsellor.
I have worked with relationship issues, identity and self-worth, trauma, depression, loss and grief, stress, loneliness and isolation. Please feel free to check with me if your issue isn’t mentioned here to see if I can support you and if we can work together.
Currently, I am a counsellor, supervisor and tutor at Westmeria Counselling Services, Bromley. I have worked for many years in a primary school as Social and Emotional Support worker, specialising in supporting children on the autistic spectrum and I have previously volunteered for Place2Be.
I am committed to ongoing training to ensure I am up to date with current developments and requirements. I practice under UK law and am insured to practice.
I have an enhanced DBS check and am registered with the ICO.
